TOP 10 EV models in 1Q 2022
In 1Q 2022, global sales of EVs (electric vehicles) increased about 1.4 times compared to 1Q 2021 to 3.5 million units. Sales of all three types of electric vehicles, BEV, PHEV, and HEV, increased.
Looking at the sales of electric vehicles by the model in 1Q 2022, Model Y took first place in BEV sales and total EV sales with 171 thousand units. Model 3 and Hongguang MINI followed it. On the other hand, Corolla was sold 94.7 thousand units, number one among HEVs, and 4th place in total EV sales, followed by Yaris Hybrid and RAV4. In the case of PHEV, Song DM was ranked 6th in the xEV sales and number one among PHEVs with 57.8 thousand units, followed by Qin PLUS DM-I, and Leading Ideal ONE.
