Electrolyte is one of the core materials of a lithium-ion battery and is called the "blood" of a lithium-ion battery.

Lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6) is the most important solute in the electrolyte of lithium-ion batteries, with ion mobility and dissociation constant, high conductivity and electrochemical stability, good antioxidant performance and aluminum foil passivation ability, and can be matched with a variety of anode and cathode materials.

Although it has somewhat poor heat and water resistance and absorbs moisture, releasing the harmful gas hydrogen fluoride, it is clear that LiPF6 is still the most widely used lithium battery electrolyte for commercial use, given its economics, safety performance, and other factors
